I know! I know..

Hey guys…I hope everyone is doing great!

What can I say..I fell off…oddly enough, I only gained 6 pounds when I did..interesting.

I’ve missed everyone terribly!!! I have to get back on track…I did not make my goal of losing the 20-25 lbs before August..obviously. UGH. I’m restarting this journey, this time with some help from my best friend. A guy..who I know will lose it alot faster then I will, but that’s ok..we are going to get healthy together..we started walking 2 miles together last night, so it really does help/motivate me if someone does it with me and holds me liable for my actions (both dieting and exercise).

Wish me luck..kick my in the butt..i need it.

Mini Goal….MET!!

I met my mini goal this morning!! 18 pounds..SEE YA! I need to set another mini goal, but not sure how to do that..next mini goal will be 225. P.s. I’m now very comfortable in my size 18’s..My goal is to be a size 12..that’s it. Then I’m stopping! To be a size 12 will put me at about 175..for a chick that’s 5′10..that won’t look too bad at all..of course I will get there and probably change my mind and want to keep going, so who knows..lol

My main mini goal for now is to lose hopefully 20-25 pounds by August!! I can do this!

Thanks to everyone who sends me “atta girl” pats on the back, you guys are simpley mav-a-lus!!

05/15/08 …it’s a new day..again

I feel pretty good today. This morning I have had two cups of coffee, 1 boiled egg white, 1 small bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins and a banana will be for snack here in about an hour and half.

I’ve been pretty busy with my school work at night and I have made some not so great decisions at night, but they haven’t affected my weight, so that’s good!

I’m loving my elliptical. I’m up to doing 30 minutes straight a night. (mercy does my right achilles tendon hurt!!) But, I feel like I could run a marathon when my 30 minutes are over..that’s of course after I get the sweat out my eyes and stop feeling like a rubber band..lol

Ok..let’s try this again…

So I disappeared. I’m back. again. I’ve never given up and Ironically, i’ve actually lost a whopping two pounds since my last weigh in here. Sad really, but, at least I didn’t gain it all back. I’ve recently just purchased an elliptical, it’s my friend..lol I love that thing. So I’m committed to 30 minutes everynight on it. I’m also STILL in school, luckily one of my certficates will be earned completely after my next quarter and moving on to the second one after that.

I cannot believe some of the awesome and amazing changes everyone has been through in just a couple of months. Angela has BLOWN ME AWAY!! she looks completely amazing in her white suit (if you read this darlin, you look simply stunning!!)

I have to get back on my blogging track. Screw the weight watchers and 90% vegetarian everything I’ve tried to do..I know what works for me and it’s doing it the old fashion way. eating better and exercising..imagine that.

I have a new mini goal set for myself. I want to lost 30 pounds by mid-August. I hate setting goals because I get so pissed at myself when I don’t meet them. But, I’m going to Sanibel Island, Florida in august and dang it, I want to look freaking cute in some pictures already! that would put me at 207. That’s rough, but I can do that. surely. I’ve lost 30 pounds in three months last year, why not this year..right?

so..I’m going to come back everyday and blog blog blog..feelings, food, whatever I’m feeling. so..consider this day one.

I’ve had two pieces of wheat toast with sugar free jelly and two boiled egg whites and coffee for breakfast, some leftover wheat noodle and veggie dish I made last night and only ate half..got full..pushed it away…I did have a snack of about 4 yogurt covered pretzels and like 3 seasame sticks..for dinner I made a wheat noodle tuna and broccoli  skillet dish that amazingly was tastey..and my kids loved it..so that was a plus. I’ve put in 30 minutes already on my new machine and I’ve drank about 80 ounces of water today.

so..there you have it..day one..blogged. now I need rest..lol

I’m so disappointed in myself, 3 pound gain. boooo. week #3 starts today with my weight watchers plan. I gotta pick my butt up and get it in gear. I made a couple of really bad decisions this past week. So i’m hoping that I have a better weigh in next week. My husband on the other hand has lost 15 pounds!! in TWO weeks! dang! I’ll be back, I’ve got lots of work to do!

New Year, New me. Time to get busy.

Alright guys, it’s time for me to kick it in gear!! We had our biggest loser contest come to an end here at work and I came in 3rd..booo..lol Oh well, to say that I managed to lose 12 pounds through the holidays, I don’t see where I did that bad..only took me 3 months to lose 12 months..HAHAHAHAHa! eh hem. sorry…anyways, where was I..oh yes..Time for me to kick it into gear.  I’ve backed my school load down from 3 classes to only 2 this quarter, so hopefully I can MAKE time to get my exercise in. Btw…I made 2 A’s and 1 B (GPA 3.64) last quarter, so for all that i was going through, I’ll take it! I have a plan!

Imagine this with me for a minute..I’m going to eat right, no eating late, exercise and drink all my water everyday..can you see it? I’m going to do it the old fashion way, it actually worked for me once before!!!!!! Since it’s cold, I will not be doing any outside activities (i.e. walking and bike riding) until it warms up. So I will be draggin my Nordic Trak back into the house from the garage (where it’s collecting a mountain of dust i’m sure) and get it back into kicking my butt nightly. You know, I have to actually use that thing while watching Wheel Of Fortune or Jepordy, something that makes me think about the program instead of the burning sensation I’m having in my buttocks….lol

Ok..so here we go again, working towards my goal, I would like to reach my goal of the rest of my weight by this time next year, which is about 60 pounds or so. I’m pretty sure I could do that, but, EVERY YEAR I make this same statement! UGH, I just need to do it already! So, I’m sure I’m not the only one saying this too, so lets stop whining about it, and just SUCK IT UP and do it already! Bring on 2008!!!

I have a question for EVERYONE!

I would like to know what awesome product or food item or beverage you have found that is a GREAT FIND! I have found Fiber One bars, Flatout Bread and whole wheat crackers, pitas etc, but what have you found that would be something we can all try?? Let me know! I look forward to your responses!!

What about that red star?

Oh yea, that’s right!! I earned a red star! My first 10 pounds are GONE!! what a good feeling that is! considering I haven’t exercised umm..at all..I need to do that. I studied ALL day yesterday, feel a little better that I got two more chapters knocked out of my Med. Term book. That’s close to 100 pages alone. whew! But, my stress level feels like it’s at an all time HIGH! But, I’m working on it. I’m hungry this morning, I want some breakfast NOWWWW..lol I have to wait on a couple of others to arrive to work for our weigh in first. (Yea, I cheated and got on the scale before any of them got here..low down? nah…they are MY scales..lol). I still miss them being at home for me to have my morning scale weigh in obsession eating at me.. which is sad.

Ok..it’s a new week, still stepping it up a notch. Wondering if any of you have read Dr. Ian Smith’s Extreme Fat Smash book..if so, what do you think about it? etc? opinions? I loved watching him on Fit Club. What I really need is the “drill seargant” at my house watching over my every move..lol

I know I can….I know I can…

As opposed to I think I can..I think I can..I am taking on the mentality of I know I can…I know I can!! I can do this..I will do this…I will make it!! I’ve lost 1.8 pounds since my monday weigh in. Feeling great about that. Total of 8.6 pounds since October 1st. Slow and steady wins the race right? I’ve said it before and I’m sticking to it.

I have a question for you guys! What kind of supplements or vitamins (if any) do you take? I’m not looking for things like Hoodia, Hydroxicut or the sorts. I mean, stuff that’s not going to harm your body if you take it. True vitamins. I’m taking a few different things at the advice of my doctor. Niacin 500mg flush free, Green Tea, A flax, fish and borage oil pill, 1200 mg calcium. Of course each one of them does something different. Just curious to know what anyone else may take and what it’s good for! If you’d like to share that is.

I studied last night until almost midnight and didn’t get any exercise in (sorry Angela, I know I said I was going to..I’m trying to remember- I’ll get some in soon!!) I didn’t feel to good yesterday, so I made myself a banana-strawberry soy protein shake and drank on that while I studied instead of eating a meal. P.s. that was tastey!! I have a bad headache this a.m. too..not sure if it’s the cold and rainy weather, not eating last night, stress, I just know it hurts..took some Tylenol a few mintues ago, hoping it kicks in soon.

Okay okay, enough complaining from me.. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I’d like to say to all my worker bee buddies..thank you for the warm welcome and encouragement you all have sent and offered me!! This is going to be great!!

Here it is..Monday ..again (ugh), ok..I’ve got a weigh in, in about 40 minutes. I’ve already cheated and stepped on the scale. I’m the EXACT same weigh in from last week.  I’ve been watching what I’m eating, no eating late, no time to exercise with my face buried in my books..so what is up with this? humm.

My school work is seriously stressing me out. My grades so far are good so I guess it’s all worth it. I was doing some work in my Business English book last night and I heard the commercial for Nutrisystem come on t.v., the one with the woman who says, ” I had a baby last year, and Nutrisystem helped me go from a size 10 to a size 2..again.  Have any of you ever taken a good look at that food? It’s freeze-dried. My mom used to be on it..granted, she lost alot of weight..but, once you are to your goal weight and you STOP eating that naty freeze-dried crap, of course she gained the weight back..That is why I’m still stuck with the idea that you have to just do it right. Eat healthy and exercise. If you go on one of these fad diets or pop pills or whatever, eventually, your so called hard work is going to back fire in the end. It’s better to make the lifestyle change and just do it. It’ll stay off and you’ll feel better doing it!

My neck and head have been a little achey here the past couple of days…do you think that is caused from stress? I’m actually telling a difference in my youngest daughter who was a little chunky butt since she was born..she just turned 4 and wears a size 6 jeans!! But, since I’ve changed things at home, what is in the house to eat, what I cook etc, I’ve noticed she’s slimming up a little bit, and she is veryyyyy active! My oldest daughter is one of those people that could sit and eat all day long, everyday at an all-you-can-eat buffet, whatever she wanted to eat and never gain an ounce! (mom sticks tongue out). But, I keep telling her, you may be skinny and full of energy, doesn’t mean that you are healthy. You can still have high cholesterol and high blood pressure etc…things like that can attack anyone. But, with proper eating and exercising, you can maintain being healthy. So should I have been upset that my child had a “cold cuts feast” Saturday morning while I wasn’t home..(hubby at home..napping on the couch) She ate like 4-5 pieces of bologna, 3-4 pieces of turkey…no telling what else..guess she was having a low carb “snack”.  She had things to do, didn’t get them done..you know how an unsupervised kid is. But, anyways, I have to get to work. I hope everyone had a great weekend!!
